Legacy C1 Firmware Version 4.5

Introduction

This firmware is intended for C1 devices using the Digital Input board version 1 (not HD). These devices won't get new features.

• Add support for new displays.

• Clock manager
  • Add external sync support for 768k and 705.6K.
  • Slow down generated internal clocks to avoid crosstalk with input sync signal.
  • Output our internal sync also when Streaming or USB input is selected.

• Streaming board
  • Try to detect when the Streaming board is partially stucked and restart only the corresponding service (this should go unnoticed by the user). If we are too lost, reboot the board (the user will notice that).
  • Increase Streaming board internal buffers to be able to manage big metadata (as generated by Qobuz).
  • Fix crashes of the Streaming board when some valid URL are used.
  • Fix support of the webradio display. The application will take care os that.

• Digital In
  • Shut down the SPDif receiver when a corresponding a SPDif input is not used.

• Misc
  • Call the device process inside the main loop. This permits to handle audio changes while the user is inside the menu.
  • Fix UI when the C1 is in DAC mode and the display mode is set to Volume.
  • When DSP starts processing of DSD signals there is a possibility to output a positive/negative full scale signal during the first 5 ms. Fix this by unmuting the DSP, 5ms after its start.

• Reboot the streaming board if a communication error occurred to avoid forcing the user to shutdown and restart the device.
• Fix possible stall when power on device.
• Add mechanism to detect a firmware update on first boot. This will be used to unify emergency and normal firmware methods.
